Founder’s Story
Mammy Nest was born from a deeply personal journey of motherhood, purpose, and the quiet questions many women ask but rarely say out loud: Can I still be me while nurturing everyone else? Can motherhood and ambition truly coexist?
For Zibi Anani, the founder of Mammy Nest, motherhood was transformative, beautiful, and awakening but it also revealed a gap. A gap where women were expected to pour endlessly into others while placing their own dreams, wellness, and identity on hold. What she found missing was a safe, intentional space where women could be nurtured just as much as they nurture.
With a background in media, branding, and community building, and years of working closely with women and families, Zibi understood the power of connection, storytelling, and shared experiences. Mammy Nest was created from this understanding and from lived experience. Not as a perfect solution, but as a growing ecosystem where women could learn, heal, grow, and thrive together.
Mammy Nest was publicly unveiled in 2024 in Nigeria, marking the beginning of a purpose driven movement dedicated to supporting mothers and women preparing for the journey of nurturing in all its forms. While the community primarily serves mothers, Mammy Nest intentionally welcomes women who desire motherhood, caregivers, adoptive mothers, and women who simply want to become better, more fulfilled versions of themselves.
At its core, Mammy Nest is built on the belief that all women are naturally created to nurture. Nurture life, ideas, families, communities, and dreams. Motherhood, whether present or anticipated, is not a limitation but a powerful foundation for growth and leadership.
Zibi envisioned Mammy Nest as more than a community. It is a safe haven and a launchpad. A place where women are reminded that their dreams are valid, their wellness matters, and their identity is not lost in service to others. Through conversations, events, education, wellness initiatives, and shared stories, Mammy Nest continues to evolve as a trusted space for women navigating modern womanhood and motherhood.

Mammy Nest has been such an intricate part of my wellness and well-being. I have met so many other Mammies who depend on the Mammy Nest community for emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. Being part of this community has afforded me so many opportunities, including being able to be a landowner. I have always dreamed of owning my very own land that I can one day pass on to my children. Because of Mammy Nest, that dream is now realized. I look forward to participating more within the Mammy Nest community and lending my expertise to other Mammies who are looking to succeed in life. I attended 1st and 2nd mom conference and it was mind blowing,I learnt a lot about motherhood and I also invited my friend for the 2nd edition which she enjoyed every bit of and we can’t wait for 3rd edition. Words arent enough to express how appreciative I am to have found a beautiful community of resilient, strong and powerful women. This group has been my safe place where I am my authentic self circled by love and push to be our best selves. As a mammy nester, I have support and have learned "I do not have to do it all by myself". Women of all ages deserve a community so rich in providing mentorship and guidance.
Mammy Nest has been a turning point in my journey as a mother and a woman. It showed me that I can nurture my family and still grow personally and professionally. Before joining, I had quietly put my own goals on hold, but through the support, encouragement, and real-life examples from other mums, I found the confidence to start again. Today, I’m learning to balance home and purpose in a healthier, more fulfilling way — surrounded by a community that truly understands and uplifts me.
